Digitized Central Pomo Language Recordings
In recent years, a grant made it possible for many archived recordings held by the linguistics department at UC-Berkeley to be digitized and put online. Files recording native speakers of the Central Pomo and Kashaya Pomo languages will be made available here. These files are digitally compressed to make for faster downloads that won’t exceed your data allowances.
Many language recordings are available in the California Language Archive at UC-Berkeley which shares our goal of repatriating cultural knowledge. They aim to realize this goal by digitizing and providing a searchable resource of recordings and documentation of the indigenous languages of California.
Central Pomo: getting started
